ABOUT

Hi, I’m Hallie — the founder of HOMEBODY and a lifelong lover of fashion, thrifting, and creating things by hand.

My entrepreneurial journey started early. When I was just 10 years old, I launched my very first business, Peace Love, by ironing patches onto tote bags, pillowcases, and t-shirts. I still have my very first business cards from that time — a sweet reminder of where it all began. A few years later, at 15, I began selling clothes on Poshmark and Depop, eventually running a thrift Instagram account with friends and hosting pop-ups selling vintage pieces around town. What started as a fun hobby quickly became a true passion.

Life took me in a different direction during college and my first career job, but that love for fashion, thrifting, and building something of my own never went away. Now, I’m so excited to finally bring that dream back to life with Homebody.

Why “HOMEBODY ”?

The name comes from who I truly am at heart. I’m happiest at home — listening to a podcast while working on a puzzle, needlepointing, or diving into any craft I can get my hands on. Homebody is inspired by the comfort, creativity, and joy that come from being exactly where you feel most yourself.

A Mother–Daughter Dream

This store is a true family project. My mom and I are building Homebody together, and we’re the perfect mother-daughter duo. She has always been my biggest supporter and the driving force behind making my dreams happen. Together, from sourcing to styling to dreaming up what’s next, this shop is filled with love, laughter, and a whole lot of teamwork.

And when you stop by, you may even meet our honorary shop greeter — Sunnie, the sweetest little cockapoo puppy, who you’ll see meandering around the store.

Thank you so much for being here and supporting our dream. We hope Homebody feels a little like home to you, too.
